The Convening Culture Keepers mini-conferences occur biannually, once in the spring and fall of every year, and are each hosted by a different tribally-based partner in Wisconsin. Six conferences are scheduled to occur over a three-year period. Since October 2010 five tribal communities have hosted conferences.
Oneida, Fall 2010
The kickoff mini-conference was hosted by the Oneida Nation Cultural Heritage Department on October 1-2, 2010.
Lac Courte Oreilles, Spring 2011
The second mini-conference was hosted by the Lac Courte Oreilles Community College on April 14-15, 2011.
Menominee, Fall 2011
The third mini-conference was hosted by the College of Menominee Nation on October 20-21, 2011.
Forest County Potawatomi, Spring 2012
The fourth mini-conference was hosted by the Forest County Potawatomi Cultural Center, Library and Museum on May 3-4, 2012.
Oneida, Fall 2012
The fifth mini-conference was hosted by the Oneida Nation Cultural Heritage Department on November 8-9, 2012.
Lac du Flambeau, Spring 2013
The sixth mini-conference was hosted by the George W. Brown Jr. Ojibwe Museum and Cultural Center at Lac Du Flambeau on May 2-3, 2013.
